BNP leader Giasuddin Quader sent to jail

CHATTOGRAM, Nov 22, 2018 (BSS)-A Chattogram court today sent BNP vice-chairman Giasuddin Quader Chowdhury to jail in a case filed against him for giving death threat to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Rejecting bail plea, senior judicial magistrate Joyonti Rani Roy sent Giasuddin Kader to jail when he appeared before the court at 11.30 am, court sources said.

Jamal Uddin, president of Fatikchhari upazila Chhtra League, filed the case against him and 60-70 others with Fatikchhari Police Station for allegedly giving death threat to Sheikh Hasina.

Giasuddin Quader Chowdhury, a younger brother of executed war criminal Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury, was absconding in the case.
