DMP files 4,051 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Nov 21, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Tuesday
filed 4,051 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule
violation.
It also realized over Taka 31.64 lakh as fine for traffic rule
violation, said an official release.
Of the total cases, 367 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 80
for using hydraulic horn, 13 for using hotter and beckon light and 20 others
for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1329 cases against motorcycles and seized 116 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 45 vehicles and wrecked 796 others.
