BGB-BSF flag meeting held in C’nawabganj

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Nov 20, 2018 (BSS)- A battalion commander level flag
meeting was held between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Border
Security Force (BSF) of India at Singnagar frontier on Tuesday.

The 18 member Bangladesh team was led by the commanding officer (CO)
of 53 battalion of BGB Lieutenant Colonel Sajjad Sarwar and the 18
member Indian team was led by the commandant of the 180 battalion of
BSF Shree Kishan Sing Rana.

CO of 53 battalion of BGB said, different border issues like increase
of border killing during the recent times, shooting rubber bullets by
BSF on trifling issues, beating Bangladeshi people, handing over
Bangladeshi citizen to Indian police without informing BGB, intrusion
of Indian cowboys into Bangladesh territory, checking trafficking of
women, children and human beings and checking entrance of domestic
animals through joint patrol came up in the meeting.

The meeting was cordial and fruitful, he added.

The meeting started at 11 am and ended at 1-50 pm.
