DHAKA, Dec 28, 2017 (BSS) – The vote began at nine pourasabhas and 115 union councils in the country from at 8 am and it will be ended at 4 pm today.
According to the Election Commission (EC) schedule, the last date of the submitting nomination was November 27, nomination scrutiny was November 28, 29 and the last date of nomination withdrawal was December 7.
In the election, three pourasabhas would be held by-elections while 37 union councils election would be held and 78 would be by-elections.
The EC has asked M Nazrul Islam, Officer in Charge (OC) of Commilla Sadar Dakshin Model Thana, to refrain from the election duties.
An instruction signed by joint secretary of the Election Commission secretariat Farhad Ahammad Khan was sent to the Police Super of Comilla.
The six municipalities are: Boda in Panchagarh district, Bonpara in Natore, Alfadanga in Faridpur, Bakshiganj in Jamalpur, Bagha in Rajshahi and Birol in Dinajpur.
The 37 union parishads are; Joyari and Majhgaon in Natore district, Razarampur in Dinajpur, Ghuridah in Gaibandha, Uthli, Kedike and Manoharpur in Chuadanga, Alfadanga, Buraich and Gopalpur in Faridpur, Mulna in Shariatpur, Zinnagarh, Nilkamal and Aminabad in Bhola, Ronagopaldi in Patuakhali, Nurpur and Brahmandora in Habiganj, Fultola in Moulvibazar, Bakoi Dakkhin, Mudaffarganj Uttor, Mudaffarganj Dakkhin, Doulkhar, Raikot Uttar, Raikot Dakkhin, Adra Uttar, Adra Dakkhin, Jodda Purbo, Jodda Paschim, Bottoli, Iliotganj Dakkhin, Barpara, Daulatpur and Bakoi Uttar in Comilla, Noyainnai, Noakhali and Dharmapur in Noakhali, Char Alexandra in Laxmipur.
