DUJ BSS unit condoles death of Shahriar Shahid
DHAKA, Nov 17, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) unit of Dhaka Union of Journalists’ (DUJ) has expressed profound shock at the death of its senior member and managing editor of the national news agency Shahriar Shahid.
Shahid, who was undergoing treatment at a city hospital passed away at around 1:50pm today. He was 55.
In a message of condolence, BSS unit chief A Z M Sajjad Hossain (Sabuj) and deputy unit chief Qazi Golam Alauddin (Tanvir Aladin) prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Shahid, son of former editor of now defunct Bangladesh Times AKM Shahidul Haque, was admitted to Apollo Hospitals in the city on November 14 following a heart attack.
