BCL to stage demonstration protesting BNP’s terrorism


DHAKA, Nov 15, 2018 (BS) – Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) here today
announced to stage countrywide demonstration tomorrow (Friday) protesting the
attack on policemen and torching of their vehicles by the BNP terrorists in
the capital on Wednesday.

The announcement came through a press release published from the central
committee BCL, pro-Awami League students’ body.

According to the statement, BCL president Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon
and BCL general secretary Golam Rabbani called upon their activists to stage
demonstration at all educational institutions across the country at 11am and
at the organizational units of district and upazila level at 3pm tomorrow.

Meanwhile, BCL today held a protest rally on the Raju Memorial Sculpture
premises at the Dhaka University campus as BNP blamed Chhatra League for
Wednesday’s Naya Paltan violence.

They also gave a 48-hour ultimatum to BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul
Islam Alamgir to seek apology and withdraw his remarks on Chhatra League’s
involvement in Wednesday’s attack.
