DHAKA, Nov 15, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh stand-in captain Mahmudullah gave
credit to his boys behind the Bangladesh’s thumping victory over Zimbabwe in
the second and final Test on Thursday.

He was speaking at a post match presentation ceremony after Bangladesh’s
massive 218-run victory over Zimbabwe.

He also thanked his boys for performing well by showing their character.
Mahmudullah said “We are especially giving credit to Mushfiqur and Mominul
for their magnificent batting performance in the series and they are still
working hard.

He also parised performance of Taijul for his excellent performance
throughout the innings.

The Tigers’ spinners admitted that he also need to prove a bit more for
himself as well as for his side.

Losing Zimbabwe skipper Hamilton Masakadza also pleased for his boys
performance the way they came and played in the series.

“Pleased with the way the boys showed character. That was world class from
Brendan, who really showed the boys the way to go. The pacer also bowled
really well, got wickets upfront with the new ball every time. There’s always
point to learn. Second session on the first day really put us behind. But it
was a really good performance in the series,” he said. Mushfiqur Rahim, who
was named the player of the match for his impressive batting performance,
said it was badly needed for them.

Mushfiq, who scored unbeaten double century in the Bangladesh’s first
innings, also praised the vistors’ performance in both the Test matches.

The diminutive wicket keeper batsman said it was really important to bat
well in the first innings and all the bowlers bowled really well in the
match.

Mushfiqur said they have dominated across all formats and also gave credit
to the spinners. It’s really great and hoped the spinners would continue the
good work.
