Husband-wife killed in Tangail road accident
TANGAIL, Nov 14, 2018 (BSS) – Two persons were killed and three others injured as a truck collided head on with an auto-rickshaw in Sakhipur upazila of the district today.
The deceased were identified as Motiur Rahman, 85 and his wife Asya Khatun, 75. They hailed from Inderjani area of the upazila.
Local people said the accident occurred in Batabari area on Sakhipur-Inderjani Road this noon. Injured people were brought at Sakhipur Upazila Health Complex where the duty doctor declared the elderly couple dead.
Officer-in-Charge of Sakhipur Thana Amir Hossain confirmed. Police seized the truck.
