Celebrities to join AL’s election campaign
DHAKA, Nov 13, 2018 (BSS) – Media celebrities will join the electoral
campaign of the Awami League from next week.
Lawmaker and noted singer Momtaj Begum, film stars Riaz, Ferdows and
Shakil Khan, actor Jahid Hasan, actresses Aruna Biswas and Shomi Kaiser, and
renowned dance artiste Sadia Islam Mow, among others, will take part in the
election campaign in favour of Awami League, said AL Publicity and
Publication Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud.
Talking to reporters at the AL president’s political office in city’s
Dhanmondi after a meeting of AL publicity subcommittee, he said the
celebrities will join the polls campaign from next week.
“We’ll carry out the campaign in favour of ‘Boat’, the electoral of
symbol of Awami League, to move forward Bangladesh under the dynamic
leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. We are walking on the path of
development, which was showed by our prime minister,” actor Ferdows said.
Jahid Hasan said: “We are with ‘Boat’… and Inshallha we will remain
with boat in the future”.
Riaz urged the new generation to stay beside the Awami League and vote
for ‘Boat’ in the upcoming national election.
