Three killed in Lalmonirhat clash
LALMONIRHAT, Nov 13, 2018 (BSS) – Three people were killed and another one
was injured in a clash that took place at Taluk Horidas village in Aditmari
upazila of the district today over land dispute.
Police arrested two people after the clash for their alleged involvement in
the killing.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Jalil Mia, 50, resident at Tipar
Bazar, Golam Rabbani, 45, hailed from Taluk Horidas village and Shahider
Rahman, 60, hailed from the village of the upazila.
Local people said the clash erupted at Taluk Horidas village around 9 am
over the ownership of a piece of land, leaving Abdul Jalil and Rabbani dead
on the spot. Later, Shahider died on the way to Rangpur Medical College
Hospital where his son Jahedul was admitted in a critical condition.
Aditmari Thana police recovered the bodies.
Additional police were deployed in the locality to avoid any untoward
incident, said Additional Police Super Md Hassan Iqbal Chowdhury.
