35 tax payers awarded in Mymensingh
MYMENSINGH, Nov 12, 2018 (BSS) – A total of 35 highest and long term tax
payers of five districts under Mymensingh division were accorded reception at
a function for their outstanding contribution in paying taxes.
On the occasion, Mymensingh Regional Tax Office organized a function at
the local Gymnasium. VC of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) Prof.Dr.
Md. Ali Akbar was present as chief guest on the occasion.
Divisional Commissioner Mahmud Hasan, Additional DIG Akkas uddin Bhuyan,
Deputy Commissioner Subash Chandra Biswas, Administrator of Pourashava
Ekramul Haque Tteto, President of Mymensingh Taxes Bar Advocate Sadek Hossen
were present. Commissioner Taxes of Mymensingh Region Mohammad Abul Mansur
presided over the programme.
BAU Vice Chancellor said, “Bangladesh is progressing fast. The country has
turned into a role model of development in the world. The tax payers,
especially the highest and long tax payers have been playing a pioneering
role in this regard.”
He urged all capable persons and traders to pay taxes regularly to
continue the country’s ongoing development process. Later, the VC distributed
awards and certificates among the 35 highest taxpayers and long term
taxpayers of five districts. A total of 7 tax payers were awarded from each
districts.
Members of the business community, leaders of different trading
organisations, officials, Lawyers of Taxes Bar Association and journalists
were present.
