RAJSHAHI, Dec 26, 2017 (BSS)- Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-5) arrested four militant suspects on charge of their involvement in subversive activities from Jamira village under Puthiya upazila in the district last night.
The arrested persons were identified as Rubel alias Masud, 34, Abdur Rahim, 29, Mijanur Rahman alias Meja, 27, and Mukul Hossain, 32.
Commanding Officer of RAB-5 Lt Col Mahabub Alam revealed this at a press conference at his office here this noon.
On a tip-off, a RAB team conducted a sudden raid at Jamira and Bhuapara areas and arrested them. The team also seized 24 jihadi books from their possessions.
A case was recorded with Puthiya Police Station and the arrested persons along the seized books were handed over to police.
