Jatiya Oikya Front to join next polls
DHAKA, Nov 11, 2018 (BSS) – Newly floated political alliance Jatiya Oikya
Front (JOF) today announced its decision to take part in the next
parliamentary election but reiterated its demand to defer the election
schedule by one month.
“We have taken decision to participate in the upcoming 11th national polls
as part our ongoing movement,” JOF top leader Dr Kamal Hossain announced
flanked by leaders of other partners of the platform including BNP secretary
general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at the Jatiya Press Club.
He said election schedule should be deferred to pave the way of making
congenial atmosphere for polls.
Alamgir read out a written statement at the press briefing saying JOF took
the decision “as part of its (ongoing) movement” while JOF leaders ASM Abdur
Rab, Kader Siddique, Moudud Ahmed and Sultan Mohammad Mansur Ahmed were
present.
