DMP files 2,416 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Nov 11, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Saturday
filed 2,416 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule
violation.
It also realized over Taka 17.23 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation,
said an official release.
Of the total, 265 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 67 for
using hydraulic horn, five for using hotter and beckon light and 13 others
for using tinted glass.
Police filed 943 cases against motorcycles and seized 74 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 15 vehicles and wrecked 417 others.
