Join polls, otherwise you’ll miss bus again: Menon urges BNP
BARISHAL, Nov 10, 2018 (BSS) – President of Workers Party of Bangladesh (WPB) and Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon today urged the BNP-led alliance to take part in the next Jatiya Sangsad election failing which the alliance will miss the bus again.
“The polls schedule has been shifted for four days due to holding of dialogue with political parties . . . the BNP-led Jatiya Iokyafront should join the polls; otherwise you’ll miss the bus again,” he said while speaking at his party meeting at Ujirpur in Barishal.
Menon said there is no scope to initiate debate over the declaring of election schedule of the Election Commission (EC) and advised the BNP and its allies not to procrastinate in the polls process.
“Otherwise people of the country will reject you (BNP) once again,” Menon, one of the partners of the Awami League-led 14-party alliance said.
The minister said the countrymen are determined to see development trend in future and candidates of the WPB will do everything possible in this regard.
WPB president of Barisahl district Prof Nazrul islam Nilu, Advocate Sheikh Tipu Sultan, MP, Johurul Islam Tutul and Jubo Moitry leader AbduL Hahad Mina and Faisjul Haque Bali, among others, spoke on the occasion.
