DHAKA, Nov 9, 2018 (BSS) – The Election Commission today asked the
intending candidates of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) election to remove
campaign materials at their own expanses by November 14.
The commission asked the intending candidates of the election to remove
posters, banners, graffiti, billboards, gates, illumination, other publicity
materials and election camps which they have already set up in their
respective areas for campaigning by 12 midnight of November 14.
The EC also gave directives to city corporations, municipalities and other
local government institutions to take necessary measures to this end, said a
press release.
The commission has appointed 66 returning officers for 300 parliamentary
seats in the 11th JS election to be held on December 23.
Besides, 579 others were appointed as assistant returning officers.
