DHAKA, Nov 8, 2018 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has taken all-out preparation across the capital to check subversive activities centering election schedule to be declared this evening.
“We have already intensified patrol and set up check posts at important crossings and spots elsewhere in the capital to avert any kind of violence centering the election schedule,” senior assistant superintendent of police Md Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan told BSS today.
“Court areas, diplomatic zone, Gulshan, Baridhara, Paltan, Motijheel, Malibagh,Moghbazar, Mirpur,Mohakhali, Bimanbandar, and Uttara areas have been brought under tight security measures with deployment of RAB members in large number,” he also said.
The preparations have been taken as no group can deteriorate the law and order over announcement of the election schedule, he said, adding that RAB has been kept ready to tackle any situation to this end.
