DMP files 3,960 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Nov 8, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Wednesday
filed 3,960 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule
violation.
It also realized over Taka 38.54 lakh as fine for traffic rule
violation, said an official release.
Of the total cases, 383 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides,
273 for using hydraulic horn, 20 for using hotter and beckon light and 72
others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1203 cases against motorcycles and seized 86 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 15 vehicles and wrecked 816 others.
