PM stands by actor Prabir Mitra, actress Nutan
DHAKA, Nov 8, 2018 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today gave
financial assistance of Taka 12.15 crore to 14 individuals and an
organisation, including noted film actor Prabir Mitra and film actress and
dancer Nutan.
Sheikh Hasina handed over cheques for the financial assistance to them at a
function at her official Ganabhaban residence here this morning.
The prime minister donated Taka 10 crore to “Oti Daridra Rogi Kalyan
Tahabil” of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital.
She gave financial assistance of Tk 25 lakh to Prabir Mitra and Tk 20 lakh
each to Nutan and folk song ‘Samrat’ (king) Kuddus Boyati.
Those others received donation from the prime minister are Zakaria Masud of
Dhaka University Residential Area; Begum Kaniz Fatema Joli of New Eskaton,
Dhaka; Subash Som, General Manager of Abahoni Ltd; Manjur Morshed Khan, a
journalist of 71 Television; Nilufa Begum, General Secretary, Dhaka South
Jubo Mohila League; Mosammat Shikha Begum of Sirajganj Sadar; Syeda Fatema
Siddika Ruby of Paba upazila in Rajshahi; Md Safiulla of Motijheel, Dhaka;
Mosammat Poly Begum, wife of late Md Abdur Razzak, a former corporal of Army
MP Unit; Begum Shahnaj Parveen of Ashkona, Dhaka; and Md Mojibur Rahman of
Mohammadpur, Dhaka.
