Dr Goutam Buddha Das reappointed as CVASU VC
CHATTOGRAM, Nov 6, 2018 (BSS) – Professor Dr Goutam Buddha Das was
reappointed as the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Chattogram Veterinary and Animal
Science (CVASU) for second term today.
An education ministry letter reached here today confirmed the appointment
of Prof Dr Goutam Buddha Das as the VC of the university for a 4-year term
from December 9.
He joined as VC of the university on December 9, 2014, according to the
letter issued by the education ministry.
President and also the Chancellor of the university Abdul Hamid Advocate
made the reappointment as per the article 12 (2) under the Public University
Act-1973 before one month of his tenure as CVASU VC.
A former President of CVASU teachers association and a senior teacher of
the of Animal Science and Nutrition department Prof Dr Goutam Buddha Das
received his Master of Science (MSc) degree in Animal Husbandry from
Bangladesh Agriculture University in 1986 and joined the university in the
same year.
He served the varsity in various capacities.
Prof Dr Goutam Buddha Das was born in Chandpur Sadar upazila Chandpur
district in 1963.
