IGP-GATE-INAUGURATION
Newly built 3 no Rajarbagh Police Lines gate inaugurated
DHAKA, Nov 6, 2018 (BSS) – Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Mohammad
Javed Patwary inaugurated the newly constructed gate number-3 of Rajarbagh
Police Lines in the capital this morning.
The gate was named after martyred freedom fighter Shaheed Sergeant Chhabed
Dewan while the gate no-1 and 2 were respectively named after Shaheed
Constable Abdus Salam and Shaheed Constable Mohiuddin.
Police named the gates after their names in respect to their memories of
playing outstanding role during the Liberation War of 1971 to achieve
independence from the Pakistani occupation forces.
A doa was also offered seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of
Chhabed Dewan after the inauguration.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia and other
high officials of police were present at the inauguration programme.
