Janaza of former information minister Tariqul held
DHAKA, Nov 5, 2018 (BSS) – The namaz-e-janaza of former Information
Minister Tariqul Islam was held in front of BNP’s central office in city’s
Nayapaltan area this morning.
Politicians of BNP, 20-party alliance, Jatiya Oikya Front and well-wishers
joined the janaza and paid last tribute to Tariqul Islam by placing wreaths
on his coffin.
After the janaza at Nayapaltan, the body was taken to the South Plaza of
Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban where the second Namaz-e-Janaza was held.
JS Chief Whip ASM Feroz, Opposition Chief Whip Nurul Islam Omar, Shamsul
Islam Tuku, MP, BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan and LDP
Chairman Oli Ahmed, among others, attended the janaza.
BNP Standing Committee member Tariqul passed away at a city hospital on
Sunday at the age of 72.
