Bangladesh becomes role model of developments: Shahriar

RAJSHAHI, Nov 5, 2018 (BSS) – State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, MP, said Bangladesh has become the role model of development through dynamic and farsighted leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

As a result of Bangladesh’s unprecedented development he added that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is being appreciated by the world leaders as they know the massive development have become possible only for her competent premiership.

The state minister was addressing a public meeting on the occasion of unveiling foundation stone of the under-constructing Boral Bridge at Charghat Upazila in the district yesterday as chief guest.

Construction works of the 336 meter bridge is expected to complete at a cost of around Taka 5.58 crore by May 31, 2019.

On the occasion, he also opened the construction works of academic buildings of Maria High School and Bonkishore High School. Department of Education Engineering will construct the building at the cost of around Taka four crore.

Shahriar Alam said the people reaped the benefits of development as they voted for ‘Boat’, election symbol of Awami League (AL).

He said the people witnessed massive development after voting for boat and they are leading a happy life as the present government has implemented various programmes for building an economically advanced country.

He called upon the people to cast their vote in favour of Awami League (AL) in the next general election to continue the country’s current development trend.

He said people of the country want to see the continuation of ongoing development process to build a happy and prosperous country.

Mr Alam added that there is no alternative to victory of Awami League in the next general election.

He said BNP will cease to exist as a political party, if it does not take part in the forthcoming general elections. “BNP-led alliance failed to foil the last general election, though it tried its best to thwart it. If they try to do the same again, their attempts will go in vain,” he added.

“We will be able to win in the next general election with our election symbol ‘Boat’ under the leadership of Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina,” he hoped.

Chaired by retired teacher Nazrul Islam, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nazmul Haque, LGED Executive Engineer Samiul Haque and local Awami League leaders Fakhrul Islam and Ekramul Haque.
