7 fake DB men held for planning dacoity
DHAKA, Nov 4, 2018 (BSS) – Police arrested seven persons for allegedly
planning to commit a dacoity in guise of Detective Branch (DB) of police
along with firearm, bullet, handcuff, wireless set and microbus from the
city’s Uttara area in the wee hours of today.
“We arrested seven fake DB men for planning to commit a dacoity from Garibe
Nawaz Avenue area at sector 11 of Uttara,” said a police official.
Police personnel also recovered a microbus, one pistol, one round of
bullet, one pair of handcuff and wireless set from their possession, he also
said.
The arrestees, Md Arif Hossain, 34, Md Ali Fakir aIias Lala, 48, Md Sanwar
Hossain alias Sajib, 27, Md Swapon Mia, 28, Md Apu, 28, Md Sabuj Hossain, 28,
and Md Sabuj Mridha alias Rahat, 26, confessed their link in robbing people
in the city streets in guise of DB men, he added.
Two separate cases were lodged with Uttara Pashchim Police Station to this
end.
