DMP files 3,612 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Nov 4, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Saturday
filed 3,612 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule
violation.
It also realized over Taka 27 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation,
said an official release.
Of the total cases, 296 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 72
for using hydraulic horn, 10 for using hotter and beckon light and six others
for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1,082 cases against motorcycles and seized 77 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 35 vehicles and wrecked 707 others.
