Road accident kills 2 in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, Nov 4, 2018 (BSS) – Two persons were killed when a truck dashed
their motorbike at Tarapur area on the Rajshahi-Dhaka highway under Puthiya
upazila in the district this morning, police said.
The deceased were identified as Emon Ali, 24, son of Jeker Ali of
Boiragipara village and Sujan Islam, 26, son of Nazrul Islam of Takipur area
both under Airport Police Station in Rajshahi city.
Mustafizur Rahman, Sub-Inspector of Paba Highway Police, told the
journalists that the two youths were skidded on the road as a Natore-bound
goods-laden truck hit their motorbike and ran over them around 6.30 am. The
truck driver decamped with his vehicle just after the incident.
Emon was killed on the spot and Sujon succumbed to his injuries on the way
to hospital.
A case was recorded with Puthiya Police Station in this connection, the
police officer added.
