DMP files 2,874 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Nov 3, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Friday filed
2,874 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule violation.
It also realized over Taka 20.50 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation,
said an official release.
Of the total cases, 207 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 41
for using hydraulic horn, eight for using hotter and beckon light and 14
others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1,440 cases against motorcycles and seized 92 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 22 vehicles and wrecked 517 others.
