BSS former CAO Subal Das Gupta passes away
DHAKA, Nov 3, 2018 (BSS) – Subal Das Gupta, former Chief Administrative
Officer (CAO) of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, died at his residence today at
the of age 75.
Subal Dasgupta was suffering from paralysis following a severe brain
stroke in March this year. He was undergoing treatment at home. But his
condition suddenly deteriorated this morning leading to his demise, Subal’s
eldest son Shaikat Das Gupta said.
Subal left behind his wife, two sons and a host of relatives and well-
wishers to mourn his death.
Subal Dasgupta joined BSS in 1972 and served the national news agency for
more than 30 years before he was terminated by BNP-Jammat alliance government
in March 2003.
The cremation of Subal Das Gupta will be held at Postagola Crematory later
today.
