Twin sisters drown in Jhenaidah
JHENAIDAH, Dec 21, 2017 (BSS) – Twin sisters drowned in a pond while
trying to gather water lilies at Ujjalpur village of Natima union under
Mahespur upazila of the district this morning.
The two children are 3 years old Hashi and Khushi, daughters of Zahurul
Islam, resident of the same area.
Police said the two girls were playing near the house in the morning.
Later, they went with two other children to gather water lilies from a nearby
pond.
When the girls went under water, the other two children ran to inform the
adults.
Their relatives rescued them and took them to the Moheshpur Upazila Health
Complex, where doctors declared them dead.
They had died before reaching the hospital, Dr Mahbubul Alam said.
