ISHWARDI, Nov 2, 2018 (BSS) – Ruling out the anti-liberation forces
propaganda on the religious belief of Awami League (AL), Land Minister
Shamsur Rahman Sharif said that the AL is devoted to secularism, democracy
and sovereignty of the Independent Bangladesh.
The land minister made this comment as the chief guest while attending a
programme of laying foundation stone of Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) Kawmiya
Madrasha at Sara Gopalpur here.
“AL always had and having a belief on the religious conviction but the
anti-liberation forces had spreading propaganda that Hinduism will emerge in
the country if AL come to power again,” he said.
Recalling the contribution of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman, the land minister said Bangabandhu had established Islamic
Foundation, allotted space at Tongi for holding Bishwa Ijtema and constructed
Kakrail Mosque which created a bridge between Bangladesh and the world’s
Muslim Ummah.
Terming Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as a piety woman, he said the Premier
always think about the welfare of the people of the country while performing
her late night prayers.
