Vested quarter wants to do dirty politics over polls, dialogue: Nanak

DHAKA, Nov 2, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League Joint General Secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanak today said a vested quarter wants to do dirty politics over the forthcoming parliamentary elections and the ongoing political dialogues.

“The quarter doesn’t want to go to power through the democratic process. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has assured them of giving all cooperation for holding a free, fair, transparent and participatory polls,” he said, speaking at a rally at Japan Garden City here.

Mohammadpur and Adabor Thana Swechasebak League organized the rally with Mohammadpur Thana Swechasebak League President MA Latif in the chair.

Nanak said extensive development has taken place in every sector of society under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He urged the people of the area to cast their votes for ‘Boat’, the electoral symbol of Awami League, to continue the development activities.

Later, he led a mass contact programme in the area.
