Five suspected drug peddlers held with yaba in city
DHAKA, Nov 2, 2018 (BSS) – Police arrested five alleged drug dealers along
with 18,000 pieces o contraband yaba tablets and a truck from the city’s
Gabtali area on Thursday.
“We arrested five drug peddlers, Md Nurul Amin,35, Abdul Aziz,27, driver Md
Rafiq Uddin,31, Md Gias Uddin,37 and Abdur Shukur,32, and seized 18,000
pieces of yaba and a truck from their possession from Gabtali Mazar Road area
around 10.15pm on Thursday,” said a police official.
During preliminary interrogation, the arrestees confessed they have brought
yaba from Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar in specially built box in mid of left side
wheel of truck and later distributed those to adjoin districts of Dhaka, he
also said.
A case was lodged against the arrestees with Darus Salam Police Station to
this end.
