Narsingdi Zilla Parishad distributes Scholarship
NARSINGDI, Nov 1, 2018 (BSS) – Narsingdi Zilla Parishad distributed
scholarship among 3,200 meritorious students of the district who got GPA-5 in
the SSC and HSC examination in 2016 and 2017.
State Minister for Water Resources Lt Colonel (Retd) Nazrul Islam Hiro
(Birprotik) MP distributed the scholarship money in a function held in
Shilpakala Academy here yesterday. Each of the students received scholarship
of Tk. 2000.
Chairman of Narsingdi Zilla Parishad Abdul Motin Bhuiyan presided over
the function while Mayor of Narsingdi Pourashova Kamruzzaman Kamrul,
Additional Deputy Commissioner Shaiful Islam and Panel Chairman of Zilla
Parishad Obayedul Kabir Mirdha addressed as special guests.
The State Mminister said students are the future leaders of the country.
He urged the student to become a worthy citizen.
He said the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina has already achieved wide range of success in different sectors from
2009 to 2018.
He hoped if this trend continues Bangladesh will be a middle income
country by 2021 and developed one by 2041. He urged all to cast their vote
for Awami League in the next general election.
