Hong Kong stocks open higher
HONG KONG, Oct 31, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – Hong Kong shares opened with gains on
Wednesday, tracking a positive lead from Wall Street, while investors brushed
off below-par Chinese manufacturing data.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.78 percent, or 191.59 points, to 24,777.12.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was up 0.19 percent, or 4.96 points,
to 2,573.01, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on
China’s second exchange, added 0.16 percent, or 2.06 points, to 1,278.51.
