DHAKA, Oct 30, 2018 (BSS) – The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has found
massive corruption and irregularities in the National Institute of
Cardiovascular Disease (NICVD).

“The corrupt element would be brought under the scanner of ACC if the huge
irregularities and corruption are not checked,” said coordinator of the drive
and also director general (admin) Muhammad Munir Chowdhury.

A four-member ACC team today conducted a sudden drive at the NICVD after
receiving allegation of massive corruption over its hotline 106.

During the four-hour drive, the ACC team found that people have to pay Taka
400-500 to ward boys for getting death certificates, said an official
release.

In case of getting bed in the hospital one has to pay Taka 500-1000 and
Taka 200-250 for conducting emergency ECG.

Asked about massive irregularities in the hospital, Professor M R Sizar
