Army Chief adorned as Colonel Commandant of Armoured Corps
BOGURA, Oct 29, 2018 (BSS)- Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed was adorned as the 7th Colonel Commandant of Bangladesh Armoured Corps today at the Armoured Center and School, the training center of Bangladesh Armoured Corps, at Bogura Cantonment here.
Senior Superintendent of Armoured Corps and Senior Subedar Major adorned the army chief with the rank badge of ‘Colonel Commandant’ of the Armoured Corps known as the ‘King of the Battle’.
Being adorned with the rank badge, General Aziz Ahmed addressed the 39th Annual Captain Conference of the Armoured Corps and gave directions to all the captains who joined the conference.
Senior military officials of Army Headquarters and local formations were also present on the occasion.
The Chief of Army Staff urged all the Armoured Corps members to be prepared to cope with the difficult challenges of the 21st century by acquiring skills through modern and time-befitting trainings.
A smartly-turned out contingent of armed guards gave a Guard of Honour to General Aziz Ahmed when he reached the venue.
Later, he went around the quarter guard of Armoured Corps Center and School and placed a floral wreath at the ‘Armoured Eternal’, a monument built in memory of the martyrs.
