One held with illegal arms in Rangpur
RANGPUR, Oct 29, 2018 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) claimed to have
arrested an alleged terrorist with illegal arms and ammunition conducting an
overnight drive at village Paschim Shibu Kuthirpara in Kawnia upazila here.
On a tip off, an operational team of Crime Prevention Special Company of
RAB-13 conducted a raid at Paschim Shibu Kuthirpara Government Primary School
around 11:30 pm and arrested Farhad Hossain Sarker alias Nayan of Haricharan
Laskar village with arms and ammunitions, a press release said today.
Nayan is believed to be the ‘Chief’ of the local ‘Nayan Group’ of ‘Seven
Star Terrorists Gang.
The elite force seized a locally-made one shooter gun with a live bullet,
Taka 1,210 in cash, one mobile phone set and a motorcycle from his possession
during the raid.
The team handed over the arrestee to Kawnia Thana police after filing a
case against him today, the release added.
