5-member Saudi delegation arrives
DHAKA, Oct 28, 2018 (BSS)- A five-member delegation of Saudi Arabia arrived
here today to see the progress of a project entiled “setting up of 560 model
mosques and islamic cultural centres in districts and upazilas’.
The delegation members included Ahmed Ali Rumi, a representative from Ministry
of Islamic Affairs, Adnan Bamagas and Turki Al Alaoui, representatives of the
Foreign Ministry Affairs and Fahad Al Otaibi and Multaq Al Qahtani,
representatives of the Ministry of Finance.
During their stay in Bangladesh, they Saudi delegation members will make a
courtesy call on the prime minister and also exchange view with the Alem and
Olemas.
The Saudi delegation will visit the Cantonment Central Mosque on Monday and
the Baitul Mukkaram National Mosque.
The team will hold a meeting with senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, Planning Commission , Department Of Economic Relations, Religious
Affairs Ministry and the Islamic foundation. Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary M
Nojibur Rahman will chair the meeting.
They will also visit the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mojibur Rahman National Museum.
