Security man among 2 held with gold at Dhaka airport
DHAKA, Oct 28, 2018 (BSS) – Customs personnel arrested two persons including an aviation security man along with five gold bars weighing 580 gram worth about Taka 29 lakh from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday night.
“We arrested an aviation security man Md Shariful Islam and a passenger of Saudi Airlines Md Yakub Mia and seized five gold bars weighing 580 grams from their possession at the airport around 9pm on Saturday,” said deputy commissioner of Dhaka Customs House Othelo Chowdhury.
The estimated value of the seized gold bars is Taka 29 lakh.
The arrestees have already been handed over to police.
Legal action was taken to this end.
