RAJSHAHI, Oct 28, 2018 (BSS)-Two persons, including one passenger and a
driver, were killed in a road accident this morning when a private car turned
turtle and fell into a roadside ditch in Bhangra area on Rajshahi-Dhaka
highway under Puthiya upazila in the district,
Police and hospital sources said the deceased were identified as Niamat
Ali, 55, and Abdul Mannan Sarder, 58. Niamat Ali is the driver while Abdul
Mannan Sarder is the passenger.
Sheikh Golam Mostofa, officer-in-charge of Belpukur Police Station, told
journalists that the accident occurred when driver of the car lost control
over his steering leaving them injured fatally around 8:30 am.
The injured persons were immediately rushed to Rajshahi Medical College
Hospital where the attending doctors declared them dead.
