17 rivers register rise, 70 fall

DHAKA, Oct 27, 2018 (BSS) – Water levels in 20 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises and 59 stations recorded falls.

Among the 94 monitored water level stations, seven are steady, a bulletin issued by FFWC said today.

All the major rivers are flowing below their respective danger levels.

The Brahmaputra river is in falling trend continue falling in next 24 hours, while the Jamuna river is in rising trend which may become steady in next 24 hours.

The Ganges-Padma river and major rivers of Meghna basin are in falling trend which may continue in next 5 days.
