DMP files 4,785 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Oct 27, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Friday filed
4,785 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule violation.
It also realized over Taka 39.22 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation,
said an official release.
Of the total cases, 513 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 203
for using hydraulic horn, eight for using hotter and beckon light and 13
others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1,382 cases against motorcycles and seized 40 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped four vehicles and wrecked 586 others.
