DHAKA, Dec 20, 2017 (BSS) – A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-11 has arrested two alleged members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from the capital’s Saidabad area.
The arrestees – Md Mizanur Rahman, 37, and Ibrahim Khalil alias Shahjahan, 30, – were wanted in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act with Bandar Police Station in Narayanganj.
“Being tipped-off, we raided the area (Saidabad) and arrested them from in front of Saidabad Super Market at around 8.30 pm on Tuesday. We recovered leaflets and jihadi books from their possessions,” RAB-11 commanding officer (CO) Lieutenant Colonel Md Kamrul Hasan told BSS today.
The Rab official said they are now interrogating the two arrestees.
