Ariful Haque hands ODI debut against Zimbabwe

CHITTAGONG, Oct 26, 2018 (BSS)- All-rounder Ariful Haque handed ODI debut
against Zimbabwe during the third and final ODI of the series at Zahur Ahmed
Chowdhury Stadium on Friday.

The medium pacer Ariful becomes the 130th player to make his ODI debut in
the 50 over format. He has taken the place of Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who was
rested in the dead rubber match.

Ariful bowled three overs in his maiden international appearance today but
failed to get any wicket giving away 17 runs.

The 25-year Ariful hailed from Rangpur, represented Bangladesh, Bangladesh
Under-19s, Bangladesh Under-23s, Barisal Division, Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan
Samity and Rangpur Division.

He made his T20 debut against Sri Lanka on February 18 this year in Dhaka.

Earlier, another all-rounder Fazle Mahmud Rabbi handed ODI debut as the
129th Bangladeshi player in the first match of the series. He was rested in
the third match following his consecutive ducks.
