3 drug peddlers held in Jamalpur
JAMALPUR, Oct 26, 2018 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battion (RAB) in a
drive arrested three alleged drug peddlers along with hemp in Sarishabari
upazila of the district yesterday.
The arrestees are Md Achhibur Rahman Tara, 32, son of late Shamsuddin at
village Jangalpara, Md Zahid Hossan,19, son of Md Bulbul Ahmed at village
Beltiya Khupibari, and Md Swapon Miah, 20, son of Md Aiub Ali at village
Shahbazpur in Jamalpur sadar upazila.
RAB officials said acting on a tip off, a team of the elite force, led by
its company commander Md Mahfuzur Rahman, raided Sarishabari railway station
area in Sarishabari upazila and arrested them.
RAB seized 1.7 kg hemp from their possession.
A case was filed with Sarishabari Police Station in this regard.
