ARREST-SATKHIRA
57 held in Satkhira
SATKHIRA, Oct 25, 2018 (BSS) – Police, in special drives arrested 57
persons including six female activists of Jamaat-E-Islami and an activist of
BNP from eight upazilas of the district in last 12-hour ending at 8am this
morning.
Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different
areas of the district.
During the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested 10 persons including an
activist of Jamaat-E-Islami, Kalaroa Thana police arrested 13 persons
including six female activists of Jamaat-E-Islami, Tala Thana police arrested
four persons, Kaliganj Thana police arrested five persons, Shyamnagar Thana
police arrested seven persons, Assasuni Thana police arrested 10 persons,
Patkelghata Thana police arrested four persons including an activist of BNP
and Debhata police arrested four persons.
The arrested people are accused in several cases, including charges of
subversive activities, filed with different police stations in the district.
The arrested were sent to jail.
