VIATAMIN A -CAMPAIGN -JAMALPUR
3,20,837 children to be fed Vitamin A capsules Dec 23
JAMALPUR, Dec 19, 2017 (BSS) – Aiming at feeding Vitamin A capsules to
3,20,837 children, the Health Department will hold the National vitamin A
plus campaign on next Saturday in the district.
While addressing an orientation workshop at Dr Nazrul Islam hall room in
the afternoon, Civil Surgeon Dr Gautam Roy all preparations have been
completed to make the second round of Vitamin A plus campaign a success.
Civil surgeon said a total of 33,851 children aged from 6 months to 11
months will be administered blue coloured vitamin A capsule while 2,86986
children aged from 12 months to 59 months will be fed red coloured capsules
on the day.
The civil surgeon said a total of 17,89 centres have been set up in the
district of which1,696 permanent centres, 67 additional centres and 26 mobile
centres.
Deputy Civil Surgeon, Dr Prodip Kumar Saha presented the key note paper on
the programme, District Co-coordinator, Nutrition International.
