MYMENSINGH, Oct 23, 2018(BSS)-Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, said today that Dr Kamal’s announcement that he would not make common cause with Khaleda, Tareque and Jamaat while sharing the platform with BNP was ridiculous.

“How can you do one without the other?” he asked rhetorically.

The minister was talking to journalists at the local Circuit House after addressing a public meeting here.

He also said by calling for a secular society after uniting with BNP Dr Kamal had made him bizarre.

Inu was referring to a press conference held by Dr Kamal on 22 September at the National Press Club. Inu said “Dr Kamal is not a child. He knows the implication of uniting with BNP and Jamaat. The aim of such a unity is to destabilize the country and create a constitutional crisis.”

But he assured his audience that Bangladesh would not walk Pakistan’s way and that the country would progress under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina.

“By bringing BNP to power they want to destroy the development garden set up by Sheikh Hasina,” he said.

The minister was here to address a public meeting for potential JASHOD and 14-Parties’ Alliance candidate Syed Shafiqul Islam Mintoo from Mymensigh-6 constituency.
