DHAKA, Oct 23, 2018 (BSS) – Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon today said no conspiracies will stop the current flow of development of the country.
“The wheel of development of Bangladesh is moving ahead fast. None can stop the wheel of development through conspiracies,” he said while speaking at a discussion at the auditorium of Krishibid Institution here.
Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) organised the discussion titled ‘Global Hunger Index 2018’, said a press release.
Menon said the government has allocated 13.4 percent of the total budget in social safety net sector. Bangladesh is now hunger and poverty free country and the government proved it through its works, he added. He said Bangladesh is now self reliant in food through vast development in agriculture sector, the release said.
DAE Director General Mohammad Mahsin and Directorate General of Food Director General Md Arifur Rahman Apu addressed the discussion as special guests, the release added.
