DHAKA, Oct 23, 2018 (BSS)- Juba Mohila League, city south unit, today held a rally in front of Jatiya Press Club demanding exemplary punishment of Barrister Mainul Hosein for defaming journalist Masuda Bhatti on television.
Juba Mohila League General Secretary Professor Apu Ukil addressed the rally as the chief guest with the organization’s President Nilufa Yeasmin in the chair.
AL leaders Adiba Anjum Mita, Parvin Khaiyer, Daijy Sarwar, Sharmin Jahan Mery, Advocate Khadiza and actress Anjana Sultana, among others, addressed the rally.
In the rally, the speakers expressed their satisfaction over the arrest of Barrister Mainul Hossain and demanded exemplary punishment of Mainul as no one can defame women in future.
Later, a broom procession was also brought out by them.
